Educational Courses
Cooperative
Parenting Program
The Layne Project offers the Cooperative Parenting
Program, a psycho-educational eight-week, 16-hour course which focuses
on: defining a child’s role within his or her new family dynamic,
co-existing as co-parents, maintaining a mutual respect for your
co-parent, and effective co-parent communication strategies.
This course is designed to improve the quality of
parental relationships while returning the focus to the child. This
course does not require a court order, and can be attended by one
co-parent, but is most effective when both co-parents are present.
Changes
The Layne Project offers the Changes program, a
four-week, four-hour course for children of all ages struggling with
the “two home” phenomenon. This course is offered at three
age levels and is geared toward teaching children to cope with their
transitioning family system.
